How the rooms differ, before you compare hotels in Ubud, Bali
There are 28 rooms in the building and six of them are shown on this site, one page each. Cocoon 1 and Cocoon 2 are interior rooms with no external window, which suits anyone who wants a dark room in the middle of the afternoon. Urban View Room 1 looks out over the neighbourhood and the streets around it. Garden View Room 1 faces tropical greenery and treetops. Both of those come with a private balcony.
Each type runs as a pair, and the two are not identical. The second room in each pair varies in bed design, bathroom layout or the entrance, so the photographs on a room page are of that room rather than of its twin. That matters more than it sounds: on most booking sites you are shown one representative photograph of a category and given whatever is free on the night. Every room here is listed for two guests and measures 23 m², with a king bed, air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi, so the thing that changes between them is the view and the layout rather than the specification.

An Evening Here
Things to do in Ubud without leaving the building
Dinner is Kumo Fusion Omakase and Steak, which takes 30 guests an evening. Four of those sit at the omakase counter, where the chef sets the courses one at a time and you eat them in the order they arrive. Everyone else orders from the Steak House menu, where a grilled main arrives with a seasonal appetiser, soup of the day, seasonal vegetables, one choice of carb and one signature sauce.
Omakase means "I leave it to you", and that is the whole arrangement: you are not choosing dishes, you are handing the evening over. Worth knowing before you book, because it makes for a different sort of night out than ordering from a menu, and the counter is the seat that runs out first.
Earlier in the day the same building runs a café. Specialty coffee and artisan pastries in the morning, then wine, storytelling nights and curated gatherings once it turns into a lounge. The lounge is set up as a gathering space for hotel guests and visitors, so you do not have to be staying here to use it.
The spa is on the same address. Massages run from traditional Balinese to deep tissue, aromatherapy and a shorter back, neck and shoulder session. There is reflexology, a salt scrub and a pedicure finished with OPI colours, plus a hair spa with cleansing, a scalp massage and a blow-dry. Sessions run from 15 minutes to 90.
